3D logo animation: a self-initiated Corvette emblem reveal
This one had no client and no brief. I made a 3D logo animation of the Corvette crossed-flags emblem as a self-initiated study — pure craft on a mark I admire, built in Blender. It's since become the most appreciated piece on my Behance.

A 3D logo animation with no brief
No client, no notes, no deadline — and that was the point. When the only brief is your own standard, the work turns into an honest test of look development and timing. I chose the emblem because it's hard: crossed flags, fine detail, materials that punish shortcuts. There was nothing to sell and no one to please but the metal itself. That freedom is exactly why I did it — it's where you find out how far your craft actually goes.
Materials and light in Blender
The whole study is about surface. I built and rendered it in Blender and put the hours into materials — deep automotive paint, brushed and polished metal, the way a hard edge throws a highlight as it turns. Lighting is the co-star: a controlled set that lets the emblem climb out of darkness, catch a rim of light, and resolve into full form. No effects for their own sake. Every choice serves the read of the metal and the weight of the mark.
Timing the logo reveal
A logo reveal lives on timing. I paced this one like a breath — anticipation, a single beat of motion, a clean settle into the final frame. Too fast and the materials never register; too slow and it drags. The goal was for the emblem to feel inevitable when it lands, as if it had always been sitting there in the dark, waiting for the light.
Why it matters for brand work
Stripped of a client, the piece makes a quiet argument about brand motion: a mark doesn't need a story bolted on if the material and timing are right. Rendered with this much care, a logo reads as premium on its own. That's the standard I bring to commissioned work — the same discipline, aimed at your emblem. Here, I just proved it to myself first.
